Im Jahr 1989 engagierte die Zeitschrift „Wiener“ den damals 17 Jährigen Robert Tober mit der Anfertigung einer Fotoserie in der Insekten portraitiert wurden. Die Redakteure waren begeistert und es kamen weitere Aufträge die sein Studium an der Grafischen finanzierten. Ein viertel Jahrhundert darauf verlor die Fotografie kein bisschen an ihrer Magie.
